The Rt. Rev. Dylan Littlefield
Bishop Dylan Littlefield was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, where he still lives with his two border collies, Freya and McKenzie. His journey in the Church began early and has included roles from acolyte and sacristan to lay Master of Ceremonies, chaplain, Archdeacon, and Episcopal Vicar. Formed in both the Roman Catholic and Old Catholic traditions, and shaped by years of hands-on ministry, he now serves as Bishop of the Diocese of the Pacific, part of the Old Catholic Union of the West.
Bishop Dylan has a deep love for Canon Law and the teachings of the Jewish Sages, which inform his pastoral and theological approach. He is especially committed to building bridges—between denominations, between faith and action, and between the Church and those too often left at its margins. He has worked with Dignity San Fernando Valley and Dignity Los Angeles to support LGBTQ+ Catholics and help cultivate truly inclusive spaces of faith. His chaplaincy on Skid Row and ongoing outreach through Friends of the Cecil reflect his belief that the Church should always be found among the people.
Consecrated on October 5, 2024, he also serves as Bishop-protector of the Franciscans of Restored Hope—a community dedicated to prayer, simplicity, and serving those pushed to the margins. His ministry remains rooted in quiet presence, compassionate listening, and the work of making room for grace. On May 15, 2025, Bishop Dylan became the Presiding Bishop of the Old Catholic Union of the West.

The Bishop's Coat of Arms
The green galero with six tassels on each side signifies the office of Bishop. The red shield represents the wine used during Mass, symbolizing the blood of Christ, with the Lamb of God, His Body, emblazoned upon it. The motto, presented in both Hebrew and English, encapsulates the approach to ministry for Bishop Dylan, emphasizing peace and service.
