Our Mission
Our History

The Diocese of the Pacific was formally established on June 1, 2024, as part of the Old Catholic Union of the West. The diocese consists of California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii. The seat of the Diocese is in Pasadena, California. The Diocese of the Pacific is also the seat of the head of the Council for Apostolic and Religious Life.

The Old Catholic Union of the West emerged as part of the Old Catholic movement in the United States, seeking to preserve Old Catholic principles while maintaining a commitment to sacramental and apostolic life. It has historically emphasized an inclusive and pastoral approach, particularly welcoming those marginalized in traditional religious structures.

The Rt. Rev. Dylan Littlefield was consecrated and installed as Bishop of the Pacific on October 5, 2024.
